Texas Dyslexia Conference
Texas Dyslexia Conference
The 2011 Conference will address a number of practical concerns faced by educators in compliance with the Texas Dyslexia Law.
Based on last year’s evaluations, we’ve asked our speaker’s at the 10th Annual Conference to focus on ideas and techniques that participants can use immediately upon their return to the campus. Here are some of the things we have planned:
•A review of the Texas Blue Book changes made in late 2010.
•A hands-on session showing how to identify a student with dyslexia.
•A walk-through of the Section 504 process complete with CESD’s dyslexia and 504 eligibility forms.
•Two sessions on the transition to college, including help understanding SAT accommodations.
•Sessions on Vocabulary, Orthographic Processing, Executive Function Skills, and activities for parents to assist their students with Dyslexia.
•AND a notebook with great info from all of the sessions, Q&A at the end of each day and lots of opportunities to ask questions and network.
