New Mexico Statewide Section 504 Conference • Albuquerque, New Mexico • May 11-12, 1998.

In early May of 1998, CESD took the show on the road to provide a special training event for educators in New Mexico. Conference regulars Linda Classen (Austin ISD) and Billie Fred (Rocksprings ISD) joined attorneys David Richards and Jose Martin in presenting for two days in the Land of Enchantment.

Underwritten by a variety of state agencies, the conference was a huge success. 350 enthusiastic educators attended, and almost another 100 had to be turned away because of insufficient space at the hotel. As always, the event was very well -received. A sampling of comments from those in attendance:
