CESD invites you to visit us in Austin!

A conference in Austin is an amazing mix of business and pleasure, so take some time to explore. From the hike and bike trails at Town Lake to the waters of Barton Springs Pool, you can find plenty of natural beauty in the Texas Hill Country.

If shopping is your passion, the conference hotel is across IH-35 from Highland Mall, with the Round Rock Outlets a mere 16 miles north on IH-35, and the massive San Marcos Prime Outlets (recently ranked the 3rd Best Place to Shop in the world as seen on ABC's "The View") 40 miles south on IH-35.

When you’re hungry, there are plenty of fine restaurants with cuisine from all over the world, AND barbecue and Tex-Mex.

If you’re a museum buff, consider a visit to the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum, or the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library, just a stone’s throw from DKR-Texas-Memorial Stadium, home of the 2005 National Champion Longhorns. We humbly encourage our friends from Oklahoma to pick up some burnt orange shirts and hats to wear on the way home.

Looking for a little night life after a day at the conference? Austin has you covered. This is the “Live Music Capital of the World,” home of Austin City Limits and 6th Street. Whatever you choose to do once you’re here, you’ll be glad you chose a CESD Conference. (Austin photos courtesy ACVB, used with permission)
